Support for European craftbakers by improving current in-service training on quality

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The project intends to strengthen the economic position of master bakers by helping them to introduce Quality Control in their companies. In order to do this, the partners will set up continuing vocational training modules for introducing Quality into the production processes and procedures of master bakers, with a view to obtaining an ISO 9000 certification for their company and increasing their economic profitability. The partners will seek European certification of their training modules.

ACTIVITIES
After a survey of the practices of the master bakers and the vocational training systems in the countries of the partnership, and the different national and European forms of legislation, the partners will compile training modules for improving practices with a view to introducing Quality into the production process. These modules will endeavour, moreover, to demonstrate the economic advantage of such a step for the master baker, and will take the different national contexts into account. Trainers or tutors (mentors / coaches) will be trained so that they are able to provide training in their company and training material will be provided for them. The training modules will then be tried and tested in the company and assessed before being finalised and distributed. The partners will then prepare European certification for this training.
