Pilot project vocational guidance, information and counselling

Objective

OBJECTIVES
Careers advice is a valuable service helping to get young people off to a good start in their working lives. The aim of this project is therefore to give young people the help needed in character development and preparation for choosing jobs, taking into account the new demands of the labour market. This includes the acquisition or passing on of key skills as well as the ability to be mobile and the capacity for life-long learning. Through the exchange and results of the experiences of partner countries, it is expected that information and careers advice tools will be developed.

ACTIVITIES
The partners will organise information and careers advice sessions with young people and analyse the processes at work in order to improve existing advisory tools. All the institutions and players concerned with preparing young people to choose jobs will be networked, and the tools will be finalised after being tested, assessed and discussed by all the partners.

PRODUCTS
- Information and careers advice tools.
- Manual on CD-ROM covering the incorporation of the process of choosing jobs into the college.
