(Hamlet Archive and) multimedia learning environment for theatre

Objective

OBJECTIVES
Drama productions have gradually extended their scope. In fact, the number of events organised by companies is increasing as the amount of leisure time increases, and television, cinema and multimedia production is promised a rosy future. There is therefore an urgent need for training in script writing, current affairs production, etc. Furthermore, the internationalisation of the sector requires communication and distance display skills in the area of production, as in the area of training. This is why the partnership intends to adapt training programmes in the area of drama production (theatre, cinema, current affairs, multimedia presentation), by introducing new communication technologies and computer-aided design, whilst making access to it easier for more people. In order to do this, the partners will take advantage of the latest multimedia and telematic tools.

ACTIVITIES
The partners are basically developing two types of product. They are organising communication on the one hand between the various players in the sector by creating a virtual environment on the Internet in which various multimedia tools will be used and which will display productions and make co-operation easier between trainees and professionals. And on the other hand, they are developing software as an aid to theatre and audio-visual production (text analysis, graphic design, production management, etc.). These tools, based on existing prototypes are then assessed by professionals.

PRODUCTS
Setting up of a virtual environment on the Internet and a multimedia tool design aid for life-long learning in drama production (theatre, audio-visual, current affairs, multimedia presentation).
