Objective
OBJECTIVES
In Italy, a large number of young people under 16 years old are registered on the labour market. These are young people who have left school for economic and family reasons. The project will analyse the context in which they leave school in order to adopt preventative measures and measures for reintegrating those young people who have left the school system early and entered the illegal job market pre-maturely. It will set up a training programme to make the State schools and training centres aware of the needs of these young people. The main target groups of the programme are young people under 16 years old who are already on the labour market, teachers, trainers, careers advice specialists and the families of these young workers.
ACTIVITIES
The project will create training programmes incorporating basic ideas for using data processing, communication skills, and as to how one presents oneself and one's personal skills. It will produce teaching material in relation to the training content (text, software, teacher's guide). It will also set up training for trainers involved in reintegrating young people with very few qualifications.
PRODUCTS
- Development of a method for guiding young people (under 16) in their school and vocational choices.
- Manuals for training and guiding those involved with the social aspects (teachers, trainers, careers advisors, trade union administrators).
