Italian language course on internet for professionals

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The project would like to set up a vocational language training programme in Italian using distance training tools for business people with contacts with Italy, and tour operators. The partners will develop self-learning tools which can be transferred through the Internet.

ACTIVITIES
To begin with, the partners will carry out language research and use computer engineering knowledge to see which self-learning tools are the most appropriate for language training. The aids must provide grammatical structures, the vocabulary required for communication needs in certain professional sectors such as tourism, the import/export sector, etc. The programme will be assessed by a target group, but will also mean that each student can assess him or herself throughout the programme with exercises at the end of each unit. A final examination will complete the training, and students who have passed this test will receive a language certificate.

PRODUCTS
A pocketbook will be compiled for the student undergoing training to familiarise him or her with self-training tools. Two glossaries, one for the vocabulary used in the tourism sector, the other for vocabulary used in the import/export sector will be drawn up together with audio-visual aids used to support the training.
