Development of training for urban rehabilitation and conservation

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The partner countries in this project are faced with similar difficulties with regard to urban redevelopment and conservation. Few workers have undergone or are undergoing specific training in this area. In anticipation of the growth of this market, this project intends to promote continuing vocational training, the purpose of which is to improve the methods and means used in urban redevelopment and conservation training in order to meet the demand created by those involved for highly qualified staff.

ACTIVITIES
Initially, information will be exchanged between the partners on training methods and the best way of organising themselves in the respective countries. The intention then is to produce specific transnational training modules, a seminar raising awareness of redevelopment techniques and the definition of a forum (institutional tool for picking up know-how and putting it into practice).

PRODUCTS
Production of training modules, accompanying documents and an interactive CD-ROM.
