Objective
OBJECTIVES
The mentally disabled are excluded from a large part of the labour market by the fact that our society is becoming increasingly demanding. From this view point, this target group no longer thinks of itself as 'agents of their own future' or destiny, and instead decide to suffer the full consequences of their disabilities. The project intends to take part in opening up the protected working environment by setting up a dynamic system of assessment, so that the beneficiaries can take up their own position as players interacting fully with their environment. This system will enable new qualifications in vocational guidance to emerge.
ACTIVITIES
A pooling of experiments already carried out in this area by different partners will lead to a common model of dynamic assessment being developed. At the same time, the means set up for training those involved in using this system will be analysed. They will be trained by open and distance training tools and followed up by a support network. The partners will then test and try to have both the system of dynamic assessment and the programme for training those involved validated in order for a possible transfer to other Member States of the EU.
PRODUCTS
An interactive learning script will be compiled with the help of multimedia tools, and a CD-ROM consisting of interactive programmes. These "dynamic assessment" products will be supported by an electronic network to help the trainees. An interactive and open training module for those involved in this sector will be produced in order to provide greater control of the system of assessment.
