Flexible open distance learning organisational system

Objective

OBJECTIVES
There are many jobs where the main characteristics are flexibility, independence and the ability to update one's own skills. In fact, they require individuals to be able to collect information so that they personally undergo continuing training. Alongside this, the significance of dropping our of school and the need to encourage a return to school implicates a school system capable of providing different methods and rhythms of teaching, particularly through self-learning, student counselling and certification. The objective of the SOFIA project is to develop open and distance teaching systems for different target groups in the electronics and commerce sectors.

ACTIVITIES
To begin with, the project will compare the partners' curricula by referring to the two sectors mentioned. Secondly, it will identify the main elements of the modules which must be developed. Thirdly, the existing open and distance teaching aids will be collected and analysed. Finally, the project will produce training modules and a database for both sectors which will be tested and assessed.
