Objective
OBJECTIVES
In order to facilitate the free movement of workers and to meet the needs of European companies who wish to hire more national and/or Community workers who have studied or acquired work experience abroad, the objective of the project is to test and then transfer a method of assessing training activities designed in the United Kingdom to several other countries (Italy, Spain, France). This method has been developed by BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) and meets the criteria defined by the NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) and the GNVQ (General National Vocational Qualifications). Generally speaking, the project wishes to define a method of allocating training credits recognised in different European countries both academically and professionally.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, the project will have to define a range of courses on the basis of which the experiment will be carried out. There will be two types of courses. One will be for students who have already obtained a preliminary diploma, the other course will be for working adults who are registered on a continuing training programme. These courses must be followed in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. The project must then highlight the national standards which could prevent the standardisation and transferability of the NCVQ BTEC system into the current national and regional systems, and check the advantages for students, workers and companies in taking part in certified training. Finally, it must make the necessary improvements to the method so that it can be distributed on a wider scale.
