Objective
OBJECTIVES
As in the industrial product or service sectors, it is proving to be important for the training market to adopt monitoring and quality assessment procedures, it is also important to carry out analyses of costs/returns on investment, so that interested users have the chance to profit from their training experience both in their own country and in the European context. The object of this research is to develop, pilot and distribute a method of checking and assessing the quality, as well as the costs/returns, of training activities which is capable of being used by all training users: individuals, companies, social partners and political decision-makers.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, the study's partners will analyse the literature on this theme in the various countries and at a European level. They will meet up with expert witnesses, representatives from institutions, researchers, experts, and vocational training players. Then, they will carry out case studies according to the typology of training activity structures, and they will provide an empirical check on the methods of assessment used in the five partner countries. Finally, they will develop a common quality assessment model and analyses of costs/returns, and pilot it in the five partners before producing it in a computerised version and distributing it.
RESULTS
- The study will seek to provide all players involved in training decision processes with an operational instrument for assessing the quality of activities and training structures, and the costs/benefits of investments in training.
- Preparation of a glossary of technical terms for assessment of training in the partners' five languages.
