Nacht der Wissenschaft in der Kiel Region 2020

Project description

Acquainting the Kiel public with researchers’ work

The Kiel region organised with great success the European Researchers’ Night events between 2016 and 2019. Building on that experience, the EU-funded SCIENCE4FUTURE project will bring together researchers from all academic disciplines, who will showcase their work to the public. Supported by 40 public, private and non-governmental organisations, the project will focus on the themes of identity, mobility, diversity and Europe. It will carry out a multifaceted awareness campaign that will reach 80 % of the households during the events in Kiel and organise targeted pre-events across four other cities throughout the year. More than 150 activities will bring the public, and particularly children and young people, in close contact with scientists and researchers in an effort to better acquaint them with their work and its impacts on daily life.
