Report on the developed visualisation strategies for HO methods working in large distributed memory clusters for efficient visualisation of large data sets.

Efficient implementation of CODA on massively parallel processors

Report of the project activities to achieve an efficient implementation of CODA on massively parallel processors The report will include studies of how CODA adapts to different computationprogramming paradigms Dataparallel execution SIMD and SPMD models Task level parallelism and deeply pipelined architectures

Report Featured detection and Reduced order models generation (ROM)

Report summarising the efforts to couple CODA outputs with feature stability analysis tool, detection techniques (e.g. POD/DMD) and machine learning methods to detect the most flow features and reduced order models (ROM) than can mimic the complex flow and be used interpolate and extrapolate data for a variety of flow conditions.

Report on grid generation and adaptation methodologies for immerse boundaries

A report on the developed mesh and h/p adaptation on high-order methods during execution time. Including a demonstration of the efficiency of the methods in terms of convergence rates, runtime and parallel scalability.

Test cases definition

Report with the definition of test cases of industrial relevance to measure the real performance of CODA Initial state and improvements will be compared employing this defined set of basic and challenging industrial applications

Dissemination and Impact Report

Summarising dissemination/communication activities and their impact until M36.

Best Practice Guidelines

The BPG is a major “product” of the project activities, they will describe the applicability and limitations of developed technologies methods. This information will allow the assessment of applicability to complex industrial application challenges.

Report Optimization loops

Report the developed optimisation loops strategies to accelerate the finding of optimised aircraft geometries. The optimisation methodologies will focus in the NextSim industrial test cases.

Domain Decomposition strategies for Heterogeneous Architecture

Report on the development of novel approaches for domain decomposition techniques, and specially, how these novel techniques effect on-chip communications, and how they can be dynamically used in order to simultaneously improve on-chip and off-chip communications.

Report on measures taken regarding responsible research during the project execution.

Report on efficient non-linear solvers for steady and unsteady problems using LO and HO schemes

A report on the improvements of efficiency of current CODA algorithms to reduce the number of iterations to convergence in the steady and unsteady solutions and in complex grid configurations. Including a demonstration of the efficiency of the methods in terms of runtime and parallel scalability.

Manual with detailed instructions and templates for the edition of the different deliverables and compliance with the reporting obligations including the procedures of the management methodology risk evaluation and the internal communications tools

Computation models of advanced processor architectures

Report on the developed computing models for the processor architectures of future Exascale systems including a proposal for performance models for supporting the implementation of CFD solvers on such massively parallel processors

Best Practice Book

Best Practice Book for public authorities, investors, adopters and further stakeholders in the aerodynamic and other related industry to ensure replicability of the methods developed in NextSim.

Communication Patterns for CODA

Report on the assessment of optimal communication strategies for CODA in a holistic top down manner. The assessment will identify sections of the solver that will benefit from asynchronous execution.

State of the art initial evaluation

Report on the initial CODA performance evaluation of the NextSim industrial test cases This assessment will set up the initial state and help to define the roadmap of improvements to be implemented in NextSim

Report on high order schemes for advanced turbulence models

A report of the developed high-order methods to cope with large number of DOF on URANS and other CFD accurate yet expensive methods (DES, LES) for highly detached flows. Including a demonstration of the efficiency of the methods in terms of convergence rates, runtime and parallel scalability.
