Joint European training

Objective

The outcomes and results of European R&D technology development programmes have great significance for universities and companies in terms of potential applications, developments and innovation. This is particularly the case for microelectronics where the adoption of the latest design processes for integrated circuits, in conjunction with the knowledge about funding sources, is essential and very likely to have a substantial impact on the competitiveness of companies.
Based on the results of R&D programmes in the field of technology, the pilot project consortium will develop a common seminar package aimed at companies and universities to familiarise them with the latest research results in this field to stimulate the development of new innovative products. The seminars will contain four different, but complementary, types of courses: information seminars; short training courses and expert courses; and supplementary courses which will provide the latest results from other European R&D programmes, and which will be adapted for use in the different partner countries.
The contents of the seminars will be reviewed and updated and the project consortium intends to extend the seminars to the social partners and to the Eastern European countries.

Impact
The JET project will have a direct impact on training for technology transfer in microelectronics and microsystems technology. The seminars will be transferable to other countries and will provide an ongoing multiplier channel for the use and application of European R&D results by companies and universities.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
