Objetivo
The aim of ENJOY is to develop modules for qualification, certification and vocational training in the area of mechanical joining technologies in order to - among other things - open access to highly specialised occupations for disadvantaged groups of people while, at the same time, promoting a broad application of such technologies.
The project activities include developing vocational training modules for trainers and apprentices, defining requirement profiles, as well as analysing existing national vocational training structures and combining them with transnational structures. The practical testing of these modules in the theoretical and practical training of instructors and apprentices is an integral part of the project, as is certification. There is, at present, no adequate vocational training programme in Germany for the joining technology (jig-joining, riveting) referred to in the project application. For this reason, the current level of qualification amongst staff in the companies applying such technology is frequently insufficient for using these economically and ecologically advantageous methods in accordance with the quality requirements demanded. There is a well-justified need for this project.
Impact
The aim of the project at European level is to promote free choice of employment and transnational technology transfer, as well as to standardise initial and continuing vocational training and quality standards in the area of mechanical joining technologies.
