Objective
This project aims to promote the development of vocational training in the workplace with a view to improving workers' chances of career advancement and mobility. This will be attained through the development of distance learning material and the design of an appropriate training process. The partners will organise:
- an analysis of the occupational profiles in the hospitality/tourism sectors fields in the partner countries;
- an analysis of educational methodologies that could be adopted for distance learning;
- a short seminar for distance learning experts;
- an experimental course in each country with distance tutoring and assistance via the Internet.
Hypertext products in Tourism Marketing and in Handling Customer Relations will also be produced.
Impact
As well as producing concrete training materials, the project will also lead to the creation of a network of organisations working for the development of distance learning in the hospitality/tourism sector.
