Objective
Although new initial vocational training regulations have not yet included more modern terms of reference and requirements in a general manner, such elements need to be taught in the interests of providing up to date training. In this project, ecological construction is to be demonstrated using the example of various exterior wall designs with due regard given to current and future norms concerning heat and sound insulation. The aim of the project is to answer the question: to what extent practically oriented teaching modules meeting the requirements for closer interaction between theoretical initial training and practical training can be developed and implemented in the occupational field of constructional engineering?
The modules developed will provide learning programmes offering variable time and content parameters for different learner groups with varying ability levels. The European aspect will focus on the common ground that exists in theory and practice in terms of content and mandatory norms while, at the same time, elucidating specific regional features for the other partners. The project will include results obtained under a PETRA project as well as a current Leonardo project entitled "Climatizer". The first part of the project will, on the basis of jointly formulated subject matter, present the position favoured by the partners in terms of content and didactic considerations so as to facilitate the development of a transnational, practically-oriented module in the second part of the project. Acquisition of the skills needed to take positive action is seen in terms of a teaching-learning principle resulting from a combination of technical, social and methodical competence.
Impact
The project content provides support for environmental policy objectives and takes varying learning levels into consideration in the development of the modules.
