Objective
Travel, along with information technology, is the fastest growing industry in the world. The goal of this project is to train animators to develop activities for demanding travellers. The target group will be physical education graduates interested in the travel business. The specific objective is to develop a continuing training programme in close co-operation with organisations operating in the travel sector.
The training itself will combine existing skills such as entertainment and theatrical expression, tourism, ecological expertise and physical education. The curriculum will include project learning and practical training in companies. Modern distance learning methods and the Internet will be used.
Impact
The project will contribute to the diversification of the products of travel companies. Graduates undertaking the training will increase their employment perspectives on the European labour market. Physical education professionals and animators will be able to retrain to work in the travel sector.
