Draughtsmen with design qualifications in furniture

Objective

This project aims to reinforce the importance of design in European furniture production. This is becoming increasingly essential for boosting product quality, competitiveness and employment in wooden furniture production companies, which are primarily small and managed in traditional ways.

The partners will undertake an analysis of the current situation in the industry and will then pool their multidisciplinary experience for the development of an appropriate training programme, curriculum and modules. These will have a strong design component and will be intended for use in initial technology training courses. All materials will be translated into the languages of the partnership. The project results will be validated at seminars organised in each of the countries involved.

Impact
The project will strengthen the position of European furniture manufacturing companies in their markets and will protect employment.
