Summary of Work Performed
-Designed and developed hardware for our 4D radar vision systems coupled with camera and lidar sensors to provide a super high resolution point cloud for 5D Perception®.
-Built and tested advanced vision sensors, from proof of concept through to robust units.
-Designed and implemented advanced software on our own hardware and software stack allowing for the first time the streaming of a radar point-cloud live with machine learning on the edge via a GPU.
-Implemented advanced Machine Learning to improve accident perception.
-Built our Application Programming Interface (API) to allow our customers to easily integrate our sensors onto systems.
-Designed and developed a mobile phone application that utilises our API to alert drivers to dangers as detected by our platform.
-Developed a significant range of intellectual property (IP) including multiple patents pending, trademarks registered, and several copyright registered designs.
-Partnered with Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI) to utilise their facilities and the OEM supplied test vehicles to conduct on road and scenario-based testing.
-Deployed and tested a suite of sensors on OEM supplied test vehicles.
-Provizio awarded KPMG – Global Tech Innovator Ireland Winner.
-Heavily engaged with the market including:
-Multiple OEM vehicle manufacturers.
-A range of Tier 1 partners.
-Secured Tier 2 partners.
-Engaged public policy makers and insurance companies.
-Provizio has been accepted on several programs and incubators including NVIDIA Inception, Munich’s TechFounders (collaboration with CLAAS), Plug-and-Play Japan, Plug-and-Play Silicon Valley, Intel AI Incubator.
-Provizio has been featured in international press: TechCrunch, Fortune, The Washington Post, EuroNews and UKTN. Provizio has also been featured in Irish national press: Irish Times, The Currency, Silicon Republic, TechCentral, Business Post and the Irish Examiner.
-Provizio has spoken and demoed at major international conferences including at WebSummit 2021, Electronomous 2021 and Dublin Tech Summit 2022.
Summary of Exploitable Results
The current sensor suite performance goes beyond anything available on the market and has led to series production discussions with multiple potential partners and extensive engagement and NDAs in place. Performance enhancements over alternative products include:
• Plug and play radar and camera technology without the need for time synchronisation.
• 4D C2/C2.5 radar giving < 1-degree angular accuracy 400-600m (car).
• 5D Perception® on OEM supplied test vehicle at FMCI.
• On-the-edge ML for object identification, tracking and risk assessment.
• On-the-edge SLAM via our custom-built visualisation engine.
• GPU processing on-the-edge.
• AI trained systems for improved detections and perception.
Our technology will drive a reduction in vehicle crashes to zero and improve road safety for all, reducing the extremely high fatality rate and the very large economic impact this has on families, communities, and countries.
