Project description
Empowering policy actors and practitioners to respond to extremism and radicalisation
The prevention of radicalisation and extremism has become an important priority in the EU, especially in the last decade. Supporting this, the EU-funded PARTICIPATION project aims to prevent extremism, radicalisation and polarisation that can lead to violence through more effective social and education policies and interventions which target at risk groups. The project’s work will engage social actors, local communities, civil societies and policymakers and will be a leap forward in the investigation of the paths and processes whereby alienation and social exclusion of vulnerable groups lead to radicalisation.
