Periodic Reporting for period 1 - MEMFLUX (An in-memory dataflow accelerator for deep learning)

Projected memory is a new type of memory concept that was conceived and developed within the ERC Project titled PROJECTOR. In the proof-of-concept project MEMFLUX, we further improved the projected memory devices by optimizing the material stack. These improved projected memory devices were integrated onto analog-in-memory compute cores fabricated in 14nm CMOS technology node. We could demonstrate improved accuracy with respect to matrix-vector multiply operations. Building on top of these promising developments, we could establish a high TRL Horizon Europe project with industrial partners such as ST Microelectronics as a pre-commercialization step.
