Objective
Continuing technological changes due to innovations in the development of microscopy, the development of new microscopy techniques, and the emergence of new areas of application make it necessary to adapt training and continuing education in biology and medicine to the latest state of the art. In universities and research institutions, there is especially a great need for such measures.
Under this project, international intensive courses, seminars, and workshops will be carried out. Instructors from the partner countries and an additional guest tutor will provide the academic knowledge, application techniques, and experience. The target group will consist of students, persons with doctorates, instructors at the universities of Padua and Innsbruck, and scientists at the German Cancer Research Centre.
Impact
The pilot project will promote both the European dimension in the training and continuing education of students and scientists, and the development of key competencies. By adapting the contents and methods of training to technical developments, the employment prospects of the trainees will be improved.
