Objective
The objective of this project is to develop distance learning materials on training for trainers, quality and marketing, and to promote individualised and flexible continuing training for SMEs.
The project is divided into four phases. During the first, the project coordinator will visit the other European partners to study their distance learning systems and models of managing teams. A cross-disciplinary working group will then be created, comprising training experts, computer technicians, subject specialists, and distance learning evaluators. During the second phase, a set of multimedia materials (CD-ROM) will be designed and assessed by the European partners. The third phase will focus on the development of a methodological guide for distance learning instructors, and the organisation of a 60 hour course on distance learning using multimedia. In the last phase, the partners will establish evaluation criteria and indicators for testing the materials created. After evaluation, the materials will be adapted according to the feedback received.
The training products resulting from the project will be translated into various European languages. Aside from the CD-ROMs and written materials, the partners will also publish leaflets about the outcomes of the project for wider dissemination. A web page will also be created.
Impact
The project will help SMEs access high quality continuing training in a way that suits their needs. SME trainers will also benefit from being able to use the most up-to-date and efficient training methods.
