Objective
The aim of the project is to produce a practical collection of multilingual teaching modules, making the greatest possible use of the project participants' existing know-how. These modules will constitute a guide, classified by type of business, to the environmentally acceptable and health-conscious handling and responsible disposal of waste materials typical of those businesses.
This material will be usable both in schools and in business and made accessible on the Internet. The content of the end product will be credible, and the term "sustainable development" frequently used in teaching about the environment should be a guarantee of the consistency of the working perspective.
The end product will be a collection of web pages, which will make extensive use of the hyperlink technique. Parallel to this, the material produced and prepared will be made available on a CD-ROM.
The linguistic presentation of the contributions produced will meet the criteria generally applied to learning aids for disadvantaged young people. A multilingual version, at least in German and French, is also planned.
Impact
The project will have an impact on the environmentally responsible and safe handling and disposal of waste materials.
