Objective
This pilot project is addressed at micro-enterprises that encourage local employment and to those active in the sectors of tourism and the environment. It has a three main objectives: First, the implementation of a new educational tool 'the network', designed to help SMEs become more professional; Second, the harmonisation of links between training strategy and economic development strategy within the scope of new job pools, and the development of necessary skills to exploit local resources. And finally, the introduction of entrepreneurs to the methods of self-training and to continuing training.
ESOPE will take place in three phases. The first phase will be to create a network and a council of micro-entrepreneurs. The second phase will consist of determining their training needs. During the third phase, efforts will be made to render enterprises self-sufficient, with the assistance of training organisations.
The training modules will be centred around three interchangeable axes. The first axis will be the development of entrepreneurial capacity to relate to communication or sales technique modules. The second axis will be cultural tourism, with modules on environmental know-how, tourism sociology or telematics. The third axis will be more general. It will focus on modules for designing and planning projects, as well as for skills self-sufficiency. Results will be distributed by CD-ROM.
Impact
ESOPE will help create reliable methods of micro-enterprise creation.
