Objective
As part of the fight against the vocational and social exclusion of disabled workers, the long-term unemployed and immigrants, this pilot project aims to create a European network of insertion trainers. The idea is to help them acquire new technical and methodological skills, and to create an association with enterprises using innovative measures for the insertion of disadvantaged groups.
This pilot project will involve many activities, such as: identifying the skills acquired by disabled or disadvantaged people in the area of vocational insertion; developing a methodology for determining the need for services or products that could generate jobs; the putting together of a compendium of experiences and a counsellor's guide in the area of new labour organisations and new types of employment; determining a means of approaching a local environment oriented towards socio-economic development; and developing multimedia training for open and long-distance trainers. Training modules for trainers will be available on CD-ROM or on the Internet. Paper documents and electronic supports will be used to distribute the results of all these activities.
Impact
Like other projects, this pilot project will work towards creating a network of mutual experience in the area of training and vocational insertion for disadvantaged groups.
