Objective
This is a multiplier type project, which will take forward the results of a previous Leonardo project concerning the development of new occupations and distance learning in the credit and financial services sector. The original project undertook a transitional comparative survey and produced multimedia training modules on new financial services for SMEs for credit operators. Interest has been shown in the project by other credit institutions in other new member states. There is also a need to up-date the research and adapt the training products to new training needs in the field of marketing and communications skills.
The objectives of this multiplier project, therefore, are to broaden the partnership to include organisations in other member states and to up-date the training products and supports developed during the first project. In the first year, the partners will undertake new research on skills needs in the credit sector and develop their database. Taking account of the results of the research, new training curricula will be designed and the training products adapted. Finally, a permanent skills development monitoring unit will be set up.
Impact
The project will update the skills of credit operators in the financial services sector and improve the quality of credit services available to SMEs.
