Objective
The objective of the Proposal is to establish a strategy and an action plan and to elaborate dissemination activities towards overcoming barriers to the development of geothermal resources for electricity generation, direct uses and derived secondary uses in peripheral islands of Southern European countries (Greece, Italy, Spain). This objective will be obtained through a comprehensive assessment of these barriers, the delivery of appropriate recommendations and action plans and the implementation of dissemination activities for the selected sites.
This Project must be considered as a necessary, preliminary step for the preparation of future activities of the 5th Framework Programme, such as implementation of geothermal exploitations at the selected sites. The Proposal merges partners from four European countries (France, Greece, Italy, Spain).
