Exploitable results
EMMI aimed to develop a transborder multilingual police system, to be used for real-time management of cross-border day-to-day police operations, and also used in 'hot-pursuit' operations, cross-border identity checks, etc. Users are European police forces.
Results:
A real time cross-border communication system for policing has been implemented. The data sharing environment consists of soft- and hardware for the exchange of information through video conferencing tools, application sharing, electronic mail and a software and hardware platform for the publication of information on a kiosk system. Available in German, Dutch and Flemish with French and English localizations planned.
