MICROALGAE BIOMASS FROM PHOTOBIOREACTORS AS FISH AND SHELLFISH LARVAE

Objective

The project aims to develop photobioreactor culture technologies in order to increase and stabilise the nutritional value of microalgae.

In current fish farms microalgae are cultured "in sequence" in relation to larvae and live preys cultures. This processing system proves to be extremely complex due to the wide range of equipment, tasks and expertise required. The project aims to simplify it by detaching algae biomass production from the main activity in the rearing process of maritime fish juveniles and shellfish. To this end, conditioning forms that permit storage without a reduction in the nutritional value, will be studied.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
