Objective
The project is to develop a system for using slurries for crop nutrition that optimises the crop nutrient value and minimises the pollution risk. The elements are:
- development of quick and reliable methods to estimate nutrient value of slurries;
- development of a prototype slurry spreader which is capable of applying slurry evenly at specified rates;
- a survey of farmer attitudes and an economic analysis of the benefits of the new technology.
