Objective

The participants intend to look at harvesting systems (technical, transport, management, and costs) at thinning management and at the minimisation of the negative environmental consequences of these operations. They also intend to look at both private and public organisational structures with a view to indicating where these are effective and inadequate in overseeing thinning pratice. The final aim of the action is to identify areas where further research is needed.
