It has been established that accelerated degradation my be limiting pesticide performance in a number of countries. Specific aims of the proposal include :

- systematic survey of changes in soil laboratory degradation properties;
- correlation of pesticide behaviour in and efficiency under field conditions;
- exchange information on development of diagnostic systems and
predictive methods;
- disseminate results. A total of 9 EC countries are included.
