THE DIRECT DETECTION OF VIRUS BY MEANS OF A POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION BASED METHOD IN DORMANT TUBERS OF SOLANUM TUBEROSUM TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE CROP

Objective



To develop a diagnostic system to detect six major viruses in dormant tubers of potato using the PCR technique combined with non-radioactive hybridization.
To standardize the system and adapt it for routine use in seed potato testing.
