Objective
The concerted action will bring together expertise in processing of livestock slurry for the purpose of developing strategies that can be applied directly to farming situations. Emphasis will be on the local/farm level.
This will be achieved by:
- evaluating existing and proposed treatment options in terms of: (a) utilization of slurry nutrients, (b) reduction of pollution, (c) economic benefits/costs, (d) application to the farming situation;
- focusing research on the practical use of the treatment option in the management of livestock slurries;
- exchanging ideas and information in the specific subject area.
