RADIATION EXPOSURE ANALYSIS AND BIOLOGICAL DOSIMETRY

Objective

THIS PROPOSAL WILL PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ON DOSIMETRY FOR THE PROTECTION OF WORKERS AND THE POPULATION.
EXPOSURE ANALYSIS OF THE PROFESSIONALLY EXPOSED POPULATION.
Methods have been developed for exposure analysis of occupationally, medically and accidentally exposed persons (with emphasis on neutron irradiation).
Microdosimetry and biological dosimetry have been studied.
The following more specific objectives have been achieved:
working place field analysis and dose assessment;
development of tools for easy 3-dimensional modelling of real man;
calculation of quality factors for neutron exposure of soft tissue;
performance of transport calculations in anthropomorphic phantoms and the ICRU sphere to establish a complete set of relevant fluence to dose conversion functions in neutron radiation protection.
1. EXPOSURE ANALYSIS FOR OCCUPATIONALLY, MEDICALLY AND ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED PERSONS (WITH EMPHASIS ON NEUTRON IRRADIATION).
2. MICRODOSIMETRY AND BIOLOGICAL DOSIMETRY.
