Objetivo
The aim of this project is to produce energy by the incineration of waste from large retailing centres (papers/cardboard, wood, plastics and a small quantity of glass and organic matters). The hot gases can be used for heating purposes of the retailing centre during winter. The innovative aspects concern the incineration of all types of unsorted refuse, autothermal operation and original control system. Annual energy saving is about 250 TOE/YR and payback time is 3 years.
The unit, a mobile container (2.8 m x 3.1 m x 11 m), must supply additional energy by complete transformation into calories and ash of waste produced in large retailing centers.
Unsorted waste is removed at source and fed mechanically into the machine, which carry out their complete destruction with :
- crushing
- storage
- incineration
- flue gas cleaning equipment
The unit is compact, self-contained and can burn from 800 to 4000 tons of waste per year and produce from 400 to 1900 KW of thermical power.
Its running is full automatic and mecanised and do not need any exploitation worker.
The combustion is continuous and maintained all the day and night.
- The design capacity of the plant is about 1300 tons of waste per year (near 570 KW of power).
