Objective

Anaerobic digestion of 430 t to 520 t/d of industrial waste (abattoir, sewage sludge, acetic acid, yeast,...) from the Cork county. The plant consists in 3 digesters of 3000 m3 each (completely mixed type). Biogas production will reach 10000 m3/d which will be cleaned and sent to a nearby industry in a pipeline. The digested effluent is separated into a liquor to be treated in an actived sludge plant and a dry end product treated in a composting plant. The innovative aspect in this dissemination project relies to the type of waste to be treated.
