Objective
The scientific and technical objectives of this proposal concern the development and applcation of a new range of low cost, flow-through, microdialysis sampling probe and accessories for cutaneous and subcutaneous use in humans. Research is required to develop the probe, optimize its design in terms of construction, sterilization and packaging. The research will focus on the use of such a product in allergy studies, diabetes toxicology and drug research. Clinical trials and appropriate registration of the device with the appropriate regulatory authorities are also addressed.
