Objective

The project deals simultaneously and interactively with the study of the following sensors and related softwares:
a prototype sensor designed to make online measurements of the size distribution and shape of manufactured products;
a prototype sensor supplying online the wear level of crushing components;
optimisation software providing for calculation of optimum rated settings for a plant according to production requirements;
a control/command software controlling in real time compliance with production specifications despite any disturbances.

The spin off from this research will be a 10% decrease in operating expenses and an improvement in aggregate quality.
