Exploitable results
An experimental approach has been developed to analyse structure borne noise problems using operational data and system models. The approach is valid for both single source and multivariate problems. Quantification of the partial noise contribution of each source has been achieved as well as the location of transfer paths. Unmeasured operational forces have been identified. The approach has been successfully tested in car interior noise studies for both engine and road noise.
