Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Overview of the product: The portable PC-based expert system takes field measurements on critical and high safety structures during their routine maintenance tasks. These simple measurements are then compared by the system with corresponding measurements predicted by mathematical models corresponding to the healthy state of the structure or corresponding healthy state measurements. Depending on the comparison of the two databases the system, based on special software and damage detection criteria, provides verdicts on the structural health of the tested structure. The use of the Expert system is possible even by technician level users. Project value analysis study: The market was surveyed extensively via database searches, conversations and questionnaires to potential users of the AMADEUS products both in its baseline and future evolutions. The conclusions were that there are certain industries such as aerospace, automotive, aeronautics, buildings, dams, bridges, and power plants which are very interested in and in need of the project's end product. On the other hand there are industries like machine tools, off-shore and road transport that are not very interested in the project's product, or at least in its initial specification and methodology. Possibly a later extension of the scope and the methodology of the AMADEUS product would provide solutions for the needs of these latter industries. Prospects for the size of the market and its evolution are really excellent. Even with a small percentage of companies from the industries that have shown interest in the project's end product a very good customer number and range is guaranteed. The market is certain to evolve in the next five to seven years to include more industries needing the project's end product, training of these industries' personnel to the developed technology and the definition not only of damage detection but also of remnant life in an old structure.
