Recycling of asphalt and moulding sands for cut backs surface layers

Objective

The objective of the project is to substantially reduce energy consumption when laying out asphalt and to upgrade recycled asphalt to be used as surface layer. Furthermore, a number of tests will be performed where recycled asphalt is added to recycled products. The project will concentrate on cold asphalt layer in order to limit energy consumption as much as possible. A type of mixing equipment and laying unit must be developed to handle the new materials.
