DeVELOPING AND COMBINING TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE TREATMENT AND RECOVERY OF DYEHOUSE AND OTHER HIGHLY COLOURED TRADE FFLUENTS

Objective

Research and develop a regenerable adsorbent and filtration system which when combined with existing effluent treatment technology can produce a recycleable water supply from a highly coloured trade waste or ground water supply. This will also by necessity involve a total dissolved solids reduction utilizing nanofiltration or other membrane separation technology in order to produce a high quality recycled water supply. It will be necessary to develop a new filtration process together with process and manufacturing methods for the construction of a bio-chemical adsorbtion bed and its regeneration. It will be necessary to establish characteristics that offer the prevention of fouling of membranes surfaces with resultant wastes of high C.O.D. chemical oxygen demand which are found in Dyehouse Trade Effluent together with the final removal of trace chemicals which inhibit the re-use of such trade wastes.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
