Production of low cost, high efficiency, alkaline fuel cells with silver electrodes using advances production techniques

Objective



A silver electrode developed for use in chlorine production has substantially increased the current density of an alkaline fuel cell when substituted for the platinum cathode. The objective of this research is to verify these initial results and define a fabrication process for producing and integrating this electrode into a small alkaline module of high density.
