Objective
Floor covering with ceramic tiles has been applied since about 3,000 vears before Christ. Naturally an evolution took place for the cerarnic tile as well as for the mortar bed and the processing. However, in fact one can regard the present technology as out of date, because of the following reasons: - technology is very labour intensive: - the market for tile floors i pressure by the high prices, because of the labour- sintensity; - labo circumstances for the tiler are very bad; - and others. Startin health-aspects for the tiler. -the work can be divided into three activities. which form a burden to the body: a. spreading and ruling the mortar; b. placing the tiles in the mortar-bed, c. jointing and cleaning the tiles. Aim of this project is to develop expedients and technologies (perhaps logether with other partners. possible future partners in the project). which can substitute especially the health- threatening labour. The prime purpose is to develop a technology especially for large floor surfaces like specific warehouses, liquid tight floors, showrooms, etcetera and to make it suitable for application in practice. I A second part of the development exists of the realisation of machine(s) to level and tighten ceramic tiles. It is even possible that the proces will lead to new ceramical products. Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
