Objective
The research project concerned deals with the development of products for preventive fire protection which are, in contrast to materials most commonly used today, toxicologically harmless to the greatest possible extent. In this context it is of major significance that in case of fire no toxic or harmful fumes are released. More specifically the following products are being developed: a cable coating for the protection of electrical cables and lines as well as a intumescent laminate for fire protection designed for all sorts of building constructions.
