Objective
The objectives of this research proposal concern the elimination in the hand-made glass industry of the following problems: - the setting up of a night,shift; - the human manipulation of polluting materials in the phase of loading; - the abnormal consumption of energy during the fusion and fining cycle; - the restriction of the furnace life due to thermical shocks. Research is required to define the optimal solutions as per daily furnace design, and technical ratios regarding temperature curve and loading weight and time. and the interrelation between them.
