Objetivo
This proposal was presented earlier and evaluated under the number BEST-2847. In the following the proposal has been revised according to the given remarks and recommendations of the experts. The branch of Europe's manufactures of classic pianos consists of SME's exclusively and they are rather traditionally orientated enterprises. The production of these musical instruments is determined mainly by handicraft. These companies and their suppliers have to compete on one hand with products industrial made in the far east in great numbers by large groups like e.g. YAMAHA. On the other hand the market is going to be submerged with electronic instruments mainly also produced in tiger states. The characteristic and main shortcoming of the electronic instruments is the artificial generation of the tone. The way of playing can not be compared to classical instruments. The comprehensive history of European music was nevertheless written for classical instruments. The chance of European producer of pianos to overcome this jeopardy lies in a concentration on their specific knowledge. A piano produced with the use of innovative technologies and an instrument which represent an attractive piece of furniture. For the success of this concept a flexible and qualified structure is useful. Therefore a closer cooperation of the European producers is aimed also.
