Development of an automatic grabbing system for logs

Objective



The technical objective of this research and development proposal is the introduction the automatic handling of wood logs in some areas of the wood processing industry. Robot techniques will be combined with distributed process control. Different types of wood and different geometries of natural logs are examined in order to optimise piling and moving.
